Does UK Photographers take bookings?
No. The directory helps you discover photographers and links to their websites. Enquiries, dates, prices and booking arrangements are agreed directly with the photographer.
How do I choose a photographer?
Start with your location and photography type, then look at recent examples of similar work. Ask about the brief, delivery, usage and total cost. Our selection guide gives you practical questions to use.
What does a curated listing mean?
Listings are managed manually by the site owner, rather than published through an open self-service system. Read the editorial policy for the information considered and the limits of a directory recommendation.
Are photographers verified or guaranteed?
A listing is not a guarantee of service, availability or specific credentials. Confirm qualifications, insurance and any requirements relevant to your shoot directly with the photographer.
What if my town has no photographer listed?
Explore your wider county or nearby places, or browse by specialism. Ask the photographer whether they cover your location and whether travel costs apply. The directory is not a complete list of all UK photographers.
How can a photographer request a listing?
Visit For photographers and send a short introduction with your website, base location, areas served and specialisms. Requests are considered manually and inclusion is not guaranteed.
Can I pay to publish a listing automatically?
No. This website has no paid-listing checkout or self-service publishing account. Commercial proposals can be discussed by email; any commercial placement would need clear terms and disclosure before publication.
How do I update or remove a listing?
Use the corrections and removal route. Include the listing URL, the change requested and information that helps us check it.
Does the contact page send my message?
No. It prepares an email draft. Review the draft, open it in your email app and press Send there. You can also email hello@ukphotographers.co.uk directly.
Are category photographs examples of every listed photographer’s work?
No. Category images illustrate a photography type. Visit the individual photographer’s own website to see their portfolio and decide whether the work fits your brief.
